Valtteri Bottas won the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku on Sunday and retook the Formula One lead from teammate Lewis Hamilton after a fourth successive one-two finish for Mercedes.
But Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo was forced to retire from the race after 31 laps making it three of four failures to finish with his new Renault team this season.
Britain’s five-time world champion Hamilton finished second to drop one point behind his Finnish teammate Bottas, who started the race on pole position, while Sebastian Vettel was third for Ferrari.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished fifth, behind Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, but the Monegasque took an extra point for the fastest lap.
