$20 million colt Zoustar is attracting plenty of support in early betting for Saturday’s Group 1 Guinness Canterbury Stakes at Randwick.
Zoustar has firmed from $3 into $2.80 at Sportingbet.com.au and is favourite in front of Not Listenin’tome ($4.20), Red Tracer ($5) and Appearance ($6).
“Considering he’s first up and it’s his first go against the older horses we were happy to go up $3, but the early money suggests he’s going to start much shorter on Saturday,”Sportingbet.com.au’s Andrew Brown said.
“He’s going to have to run down some smart horses but punters clearly believe he’s well up to the task.”
Meanwhile, El Roca has opened a $4.20 favourite at Sportingbet.com.au for the Group 1 Royal Randwick Guineas in front of Atlante ($6.50), Dissident ($7.50), Eurozone ($8) and Bull Point ($8).
