Exciting three-year-old sprinter Your Song continues to attract heavy support to win Saturday’s Doomben 10,000 with punters slashing his odds from $3.30 into $2.40 outright favouritism with Sportingbet Australia.
A promising weather forecast should pave the way for a firm track on Saturday, but Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said punters don’t appear concerned that the horse is yet to record a win on a good or dead surface.
“They want to be on him rain, hail or shine,” Sullivan said.
“It’s been one-way traffic for Your Song since his BTC Cup win,” Sullivan said.
“We’ve taken a $10,000 bet for Your Song and a number of four-figure bets and the style in which he beat his rivals last start suggests to me there will be a truckload more cash to come,” Sullivan said.
One of his BTC Cup rivals, Buffering, has been friendless in betting and has drifted from $4 out to $4.60. Epaulette ($7) and Rain Affair ($7.50) have both been solid in betting. Yosei has firmed from $61 into $21.
