Yes Yes Yes in doubt for Lightning Stakes at Flemington

Star colt Yes Yes Yes will undergo a thorough veterinary examination on an injured leg before he returns with betting suspended on his upcoming races.

Trainer Chris Waller had planned to give the Everest winner a race day gallop at Randwick on Saturday but that was canned when the colt was found to have inflammation in his near fore leg.

Pending the results of his veterinary tests, Racing NSW stewards have ordered betting to be suspended on autumn and spring races in which the colt is “positioned” in markets.

Waller expects to know early next week where to head with Yes Yes Yes who had been scheduled to join stablemate Nature Strip in the Group One Lightning Stakes at Flemington in two weeks.

Both sprinters have been slated as Royal Ascot runners in June.

Waller galloped several other horses at Randwick including Turnbull Stakes winner Kings Will Dream.
