Champion mare Winx has pulled up well following her seven length win in Saturday’s Group One Chipping Norton Stakes at Randwick.
Despite a set-back to her preparation where she bypassed the Group 2 Apollo Stakes due to a suspension to jockey Hugh Bowman, Winx showed she has come back better than ever with an emphatic win in the Chipping Norton to make it 23 wins on the trot and break Black Caviar’s Group 1 wins record.
Trainer Chris Waller was pleased with the Champion mares return saying she showed plenty of arrogance in the win and she would continue with her preparation into the George Ryder Stakes on the 17th, March.
When questioned about the option to head overseas, Waller stated a decision is likely to be made following her run in the George Ryder.
