New South Wales feature racing will be hosted at Randwick racecourse on Saturday in which we see an eight race meeting all of which look very competitive despite some being relatively small fields.
Rain has hit Sydney this week and the current track condition is a heavy 9 and its unlikely we will be racing on anything better come race day.

Race One: Become An Atc Member (bm80) 2600m Form Guide
Back Me: Celtic Prince contested the Queensland Derby last start which proved too difficult for him when running back in the field. Before that he ran well on a heavy track at Randwick in a good form race. Has a low weight here and looks well placed to win.
Don’t Back Me: Black Jag has had nine starts on slow and heavy tracks without winning. Likely to have those conditions on Saturday so im happy to leave him out here.
Big Danger: Devised will carry the top weight but the 3kg claim will definitely help in the wet conditions. Races well on a rain affected track and looks the horse to beat in the race,
Roughie: Bag Of Nickels steps up in grade here but she has a very good record and with the claim will only carry 51kg in the race. A tough test for her but the $26 available looks a decent each way bet.

Race Two: Australian Turf Club Plate 1200m Form Guide
Back Me: Fastcar has shown plenty of ability in his two trials and should be able to bring that to the races for the first time on Saturday. It looks a tough race to predict on paper but the runners who we have seen race before look beatable.
Don’t Back Me: Correio won well on debut at Gosford although that form hasn’t stacked up as the horse who ran second ran second last at his next start.
Big Danger: No Ifs Or Buts ran second on debut but showed he had a bit of class. Finds a relatively easy Saturday metro race to win here and will be in the finish.
Roughie: Cool Days has run mid field in both of his career starts although they look to be good form races and finds a winnable race here in which he is good value at $10.

Back Me: Everage has had a massive boost to its chances with the recent rain in Sydney and on a heavy track she will be very tough to beat. Gets in well in the weights with the claim and will be on speed which will suit.
Don’t Back Me: Repartee won on a heavy track in Victoria on debut but she finds a much harder task here and i think she will be well outclassed.
Big Danger: Northern Glory won well last start beating Everage with plenty in hand. Should handle the heavy track being out of the sire Northern Meteor. Alysha Collett claims 2kg’s again so expect a repeat performance.
Roughie: Mamwazeel is drawn in barrier 1 on Saturday. With a heavy track the leaders may fan wide to search for better ground. She may be able to sneak along the rail on the turn and cause an upset.

Race Four: Sydney City Toyota Winter Dash 1200m Form Guide
Back Me: Soledad has a very good first up record which he is on Saturday. He loves a wet track which he will also get and is weighted very well in this race with just the 54kg. Loves the distance and will take a ton of beating.
Don’t Back Me: Oakfield Commands gets in well in the weights but this is a big step up in class and i dont think he can match it with some of the classier horses in the race.
Big Danger: See The World will have to carry the top weight in the race although he is a class above this field. Will get a great run from barrier two and will be right in the finish.
Roughie: Star Of Octagonal has been disappointing at his last two starts although he gets a very good chance on Saturday with a big weight drop. If he can find his best he will be in the finish.

Back Me: Single Style i thought was the run of the race last start and she meets a few of those in this race on Saturday. she had to lump the big weight and was caught wide but only narrowly beaten. Gets in well in the weights with the 3kg claim and should be taken forward from an inside barrier and be super tough to run down.
Don’t Back Me: Chewychop was very disappointing last start i thought when he had a dream run but couldn’t finish the race off. Was surprised that he opened as short as $3.20 in this race and im happy to leave him out.
Big Danger: La Pieta won well in heavy going last start and is likely to find similar conditions on Saturday. she has a light weight in the race and will be tough to hold out despite the class rise.
Roughie: Big Memory had his first run in Australia last start which i thought had a lot of merit. Should be better second up here and looks a very promising galloper who i feel should be at half his quote in this race where he is a $19 chance.

Race Six: Kari Aboriginal Resources-bm85 1400m Form Guide
Back Me: Bay Window is coming through the best form race i feel and despite the rise in weight looks very well placed in this race. Put a line through his result two starts ago after carrying a big weight and running wide. Will jump at good odds and is a big chance.
Don’t Back Me: Nothing Like Luca has won his last two races although i dont think he is suited to win on Saturday. Has been given a big weight and doesn’t have good form over the distance nor on a wet track. A big risk at the odds.
Big Danger: Double Halo i thought would run better in his last two starts although has been a little disappointing three starts ago he ran very well and if he can run up to that here he will be winning.
Roughie: Fill The Page looks massive value in this race on Saturday. Has shown he loves a wet track which he will get and with the claim of 3kg gets in the weights well. By race time im expecting the wide barrier to be a positive rather than a negative for his chances.

Race Seven: Tab.com.au (bm84) 1200m Form Guide
Back Me: Caprossa is coming through a good form race in harder company last start. Gets a 3kg claim on Saturday which gets her into the weights really well. An outsider barrier will be suited by race seven and she looks hard to beat at good odds.
Don’t Back Me: Urgent Bells is coming through what i think is a pretty weak form race and from an inside barrier and likely to go back in the run isn’t where you want to be on a heavy track in race seven.
Big Danger: Lady La Douce raced out of her skin at Eagle Farm last start not beaten too far in Lightning Handicap. Drops in class here and has things to suit. Should go close.
Roughie: Sussuro has a very good first up record which he is on Saturday and over the distance he always runs well. Will carry the top weight but looks a good chance at $21.

Back Me: Sacred Flyer will carry the minimum weight in the race and has very good form last preparation. Races well fresh which he is on Saturday and handles a rain affected track. Barrier 1 is a little concern but if he can overcome that he will be right in the finish at $11.
Don’t Back Me: Fulgur has won his last two in Victoria although on a heavy track with the big weight having his first start in Sydney against some good wet trackers im happy to leave him out.
Big Danger: World Wide has a lot of things to suit on Saturday with the biggest advantage being the wet track. He also has a good record over the distance and the track. Looks a big chance.
Roughie: Angelus is coming through some very good races and finds a much more winnable task here. Gets in very well in the weights and i thought she was massive overs in the market.
