Rosehill will host Saturday’s feature New South Wales meeting in which we see big fields after Randwick was called off half way through last Saturday’s meeting and with Canterbury being abandoned during the week.
Rain is forecast for the rest of the week and it’s more than likely going to be a heavy track at Rosehill on the weekend for its nine race meeting.

Back Me: Koroibete has had the two starts for a win and a third. Last start he missed the jump got back and was too good for the rest of the field. He ran well on a heavy at his first career start and over further distance here he will be much better suited. Has a lot of talent and is the horse to beat.
Don’t Back Me: Amovatio had his chance last start but wasn’t good enough. Beaten by a better horse in Koroibete and i think it will be the same outcome on Saturday.
Big Danger: Pitcrew was super impressive on debut leading the whole way and gapping them on the line. Similar tactics will be in place on Saturday and he looks to have the talent to win in town.
Roughie:Artistic Lass i thought would have broken her maiden status by now. Has her chance on Saturday and is suited in this race at good odds.

Race Two: Significant Stakes 1900m Form Guide
Back Me: Hunter Jack goes into the race coming through the best form lines. He won at his only start on the heavy and his main dangers all carry similar weights so that is not a concern. Will need a bit of luck from barrier 11 but Nash Rawiller will give him a good ride and will be hard to beat.
Don’t Back Me: Knead The Dough has won three of her last four starts although this race looks a lot tougher than what she has been contesting. Isn’t weighted that well and from barrier 14 will need luck.
Big Danger: Impetuous drops in grade here to a much more winnable race. Has been around the mark the last few runs but should go close here.
Roughie: Empress Elect doesn’t have a good winning record although she is never far away. Her three runs this prep have all had merit when running second and a win wouldn’t surprise at big odds of $21 on Saturday.

Race Three: Calcoup Knitwear (bm85) 1900m Form Guide
Back Me: Iggi Pop won a very good form race last start and meets others in this race well in the weights. Should get a decent run from barrier 9 and if he can handle the heavy going which he should (won on a slow) then he will be right in the finish.
Don’t Back Me: World Wide will love the heavy track but has never won over the distance and has nine starts at Rosehill for just the one win, plus he goes up 5kg in the weights. Pass.
Big Danger: Lucripetous put in a bad run last start perhaps something was wrong, happy to put a line through that run. Going on the form previous to that he will go very close if he can handle the heavy going which i think he will.
Roughie: Two For Tea loves a wet track which he will get on Saturday and drawing wide i doubt will be a disadvantage over the distance. Currently a $41 chance in the market which is great value.
