News:

Quality sprinting mare Miss Promiscuity’s stud career is on hold for the time being and she will race on into the spring.

The winner of the Group Three Sir John Monash Stakes at Caulfield earlier in the month, Miss Promiscuity is enjoying a short break at Lindsay Park.

Co-trainer Tom Dabernig said some thought had been given to running the mare in Saturday’s Group Three Bletchingly Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield, but she will instead be held back for the Group Three The Heath Stakes over 1100m later next month.

“We were going to run Miss Promiscuity on Saturday but we’ll wait and kick her off towards the end of August,” Dabernig said.

“There’s an 1100 metre race that will suit.

“There was some talk of whether she would go to stud this year or continue on and (owner) Rob Crabtree has decided to race her on.

“We’ve taken the opportunity to back off a little bit to get her into the spring.”

Miss Promiscuity has a good record on the Caulfield circuit.

In her past three runs at the track she has notched two wins and a narrow second in early May to Hazard who has gone on to claim successive Group Three victories in Adelaide and Brisbane.
