Very impressive first up win in the Surround, but she was a big flop in the Coolmore to my eye. Collett is back on and he rode the filly a treat fresh. Giving her another chance.

Visually, spectacular win in the Pharlap. But as I said post race, she beat nothing to my eye. Different gravy here, so she looks a false favourite.

Shocked that she opened $9 all in, and I am shocked she isn’t nearly favourite. Both runs this time in against the bias have been outstanding and she is crying out for further. Gets that here.

4. Dawn Hall (3) – Odds: $5.50
Finished off with real purpose to win the Kembla Grange Classic. I’m just not sure how strong that race was this year, and this is her first prep. How many times can they go to the well.

She hasn’t really done a great deal throughout her career, so being touted as a Group l winner is a bit mystifying. Gets out to a trip now, so we will see what she’s made of here.

This indicates they will run in the Australian Oaks. I think she might be outclassed here and in the Oaks. If it was heading towards the SA Oaks, I’d be all over her. Still a threat here for sure.

Schofield perhaps went a tad early on the filly in the Kembla Grange Classic but she seemingly had her chance. I see her struggling at a tough 2000m.

Very interesting runner here. Spanked the older mares last time out at the Valley, albeit aided by the bias. Still, it’s a big tick when a filly beats the older horses, and she has the Waterhouse bone and muscle.

Good roughie this. Liked her first up effort behind Global Glamour, then was all at sea behind Elle Lou in the Aspiration. Suited up in trip here and I like that Avdulla is back on.

10. Montoya’s Secret (4) – Odds: $15
ASnother that was suited by the bias at the Valley when leading all the way, but I don’t think she beat the field as strong as what Cassadee beat. Happy to risk her.
