Thomas Huet appeals improper riding charge

Jockey Thomas Huet will front the Racing NSW Apppeals Panel to try to clear his name in his fight against an improper riding charge.

Huet was outed for one month after an incident at Wyong in December.

He has been riding on a stay of proceedings throughout January and will appear before the panel on Monday.

Stewards found Huet guilty of using an elbow and coming into contact with fellow rider Jess Taylor who won the race in a tight finish.

Later this week Glyn Schofield will fight a five-week ban for failing to ride a horse out to the line in a race at Warwick Farm last week in which he finished a close second.
