1. Music Magnate (7) – Odds: $8.00
The unknown runner here. Flopped in the Canterbury Stakes (1300m) but perhaps 1300m on the testing track found him out. History says that topweights find it hard to win this race, but he does have the clear class factor.

2. Fell Swoop (9) – Odds: $7.50
Galloped on and pulled up very sore after the Oakleigh Plate, so forgive and forget. Trial prior was outstanding, so giving him another chance here in a really open race. Deserves a Group l.

3. English (5) – Odds: $6.00
Absolute peach of a ride from Shinn got the mare home in the Challenge. Looksed to my eye as if she’d improve off that, and no doubt a firmer track will be right up her alley.

4. Big Money (12) – Odds: $21
Been freshened up since getting outbobbed in the Southern Cross behind subsequenet Group l winner Le Romain. 1100m is short of his ideal trip, but if they overdo it in front, he’s the horse I want to be on.

5. Faatinah (3) – Odds: $16
Gave a really good sight in the Oakleigh Plate but no match late for stablemate Sheidel. The big positive is that regular rider Regan Bayliss steers.

6. Redzel (11) – Odds: $8.50
Went very close to winning the Challenge but just couldn’t quite get past English. Extra 100m on a wet track is the worry, but that fresh effort was very good.

7. Heatherly (13) – Odds: $9.50
Aided by the bias and very soft tempo to win down the straight at Flemington in the Hoysted. Speed demon. 1100m on a testing track is the worry, especially from the gate and the amount of speed inside her.

8. Supido (4) – Odds: $9.50
Ran out of room late in the Challenge when finishing off strongly. I’d rather him at 1200m, but they will go hard in front here, he draws a soft gate, down in the weights and he’ll be very strong late.

9. Felines (10) – Odds: $23
Very good fresh horse who stuck on okay in the Challenge. In saying that, I am not sure she is a wet track. The other side of that is that Kris Lees has the best strike rate of any trainer at Group l level in Australia.

10. Miss Promiscuity (6) – Odds: $81
Very brave effort in the Oakleigh Plate after doing a stack of work in the run. She is one horse who will eat up the wet track and is a definite live chance here if she gets the right run.

11. Jungle Edge (2) – Odds: $81
Didn’t do a bad job first up in the Challenge behind English and he does get a significant weight pull. Still, he’s outclassed.

Star colt for Team Snowden whose only defeat came in the Coolmore. Trials have been outstanding and he should take a stack of beating.

Was due to resume in the Lightning but was pulled out. Resumed in an easier race and got the job done. Stable has always had an opinion of her, but I think this is too much

Very good three year old who should be unbeaten but has had no luck in two runs this time in. Must be stable confidence to run here over the Darby Munro.
