Everest Day has arguably been made even greater after last week’s Silver Eagle meeting at Randwick was abandoned early.

There are now 10 quality races right across the card including the richest race on turf in the world.

Race 1 – Listed Reginald Allen Quality (1400m)

Parisal had to swing wide when making her debut at Canterbury but I loved the way she ran right through the line to be beaten less than a length on the line.

She will be fitter for that run and the step out to 1400m suits at this stage of her prep.

Bet Now: Parisal

Race 2 – Big Dance Wild Card (1600m)

Kirwan’s Lane is the class runner in the second event of the day at Royal Randwick.

The six year old gelding was always going to improve on whatever he produces first up when finishing within 2.7 lengths of the winner Surf Dancer in the Group 2 Shannon Stakes at Rosehill.

He has three wins from six career starts second up and missed a place just once and seven of his nine career wins have come at 1600m.

Bet Now: Kirwan’s Lane

Race 3 – Group 3 Craven Plate (1800m)

He’s a beauty Cascadian and he may very well be racing in career best form.

His win in the Group 2 Hill Stakes by over three lengths was dominant and I’m really happy that James McDonald has decided to stick with him for the Craven Plate.

Any queries on whether he runs out 2000m for debunked in that race and he looks really well placed yet again.

Bet Now: Cascadian

Race 4 – St Leger Stakes (2600m)

The Group 1 Metropolitan is the best form reference for this race and I have to stick with Stockman based off that theory.

He was doing his best work late in that event and he has performed on all surfaces in the past.

He meets a lot of the horses coming out of the Metrop better at the weights and he has drawn to get a lovely run in transit from barrier four.

Bet Now: Stockman

Race 5 – The Kosciuszko (1200m)

It’s Me is a classy mare who is racing particularly well this prep.

She won over the short course 1000m at Eagle Farm first up when over racing throughout the run and then weaved her way through the field in the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes to finish on the Heels of the winner Shades Of Rose who contests The Everest later in the day.

She doesn’t want to too wet so I would wait until race day to see how the market reacts but she has drawn beautifully in barrier five for this year’s The Kosciuszko race.

Bet Now: It’s Me

Race 6 – Group 3 Sydney Stakes (1200m)

Keen to back both at the top of the weights in the Sydney Stakes.

Apache Chase knocked up late when resuming in the Group 2 Premiere Stakes and he always takes a big step forward when second up.

Drawn really well and if there is a on pace bias and the rain holds off on race day, I’d be more confident.

Kementari is a beauty and he would not have looked out of place in The Everest.

Has been beaten less than a length in both runs at Group 2 level so far this prep and he looks really well placed in a race of this quality.

Bet Now: Kementari

Race 7 – The Everest (1200m)

I concede that the best sprinter in the world Nature Strip will be hard to beat in the 2022 The Everest but there is no way I’m jumping in at even money.

I have to have something on his old foe Eduardo in case the champ has an off day and I love the way the nine year old trialed in between runs.

Masked Crusader almost got Nature Strip late in this race last year and he is going better than he was 12 months ago.

He is always a horse that needs things to pan out well in the run but he is massive overs at $14 at time of publish.

Bet Now: Masked Crusader

Race 8 – Silver Eagle (1300m)

It was hard to ignore the win of Loch Eagle when resuming at Canterbury where he came from last to first in a matter of a few strides.

It was a much easier task than this one to say the least but he is a quality individual who represents good each way value in the rescheduled Silver Eagle and loves it wet.

Bet Now: Loch Eagle

Race 9 – Five Diamonds Prelude (1500m)

Tough race this but I can’t ignore the last start Group 1 Epsom Handicap winner Ellsberg especially if the rains comes again.

He is being required to carry 3.5kgs more in the Five Diamonds Prelude but it is a considerable drop back in class and he will be nearing peak fitness at this stage in his prep.

Bet Now: Ellsberg

Race 10 – Group 3 Angst Stakes (1000m)

This is one of the weakest Group 3 fields I have seen in a while and Polly Grey looks extremely well placed in the Angst Stakes, especially if the rain comes.

She is a incredibly consistent mare having placed in 24 of 42 career starts and she gets in really well with the set weights.

Drawn well and should make her own luck on the speed.

Bet Now: Polly Grey
