News:
A half-brother to champion mare Winx has fetched $2.3 million on the first day of the Easter Yearling Sale in Sydney.
After spirited bidding among three parties, Gai Waterhouse had the final say on behalf of Hussein Lootah, the son of Emirates Park boss, His Excellency Nasser Lootah.
Waterhouse trains the colt’s brother El Divino, who was the winner in a dead-heat of Saturday’s Kindergarten Stakes on the same day Winx claimed her sixth Group One race in the Doncaster Mile.
