A high-class field is set to line up in the first Australian Group One race of the year.
The C F Orr Stakes (1400m) at Caulfield on Saturday has attracted 22 nominations of which 15 are the individual winners of 27 Group One races.
Boban, a five-time winner at the highest level, won his most recent Group One race in the Memsie Stakes in August over Saturday’s course and distance.
He was first-up in that race, as he is on Saturday.
Caulfield Cup winner Fawkner and Happy Trails both have three Group One victories.
Lucky Hussler, Press Statement, Trust in A Gust and Turn Me Loose have all been successful on two occasions in Group One races.
The field has a capacity of 18 runners with two, Solicit and Tarzino, already declared as unlikely.
