Ladbrokes Park Sandown will host another quality eight-race program on Wednesday, November 17th.

The rail will be left in the true position around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Soft (6) range.

Race 1 – 1:00pm – Ladbroke It! Plate (1400m)

Designer Dreamer returned a lovely effort on debut and can break his maiden at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Dream Ahead colt mustered an eye-catching turn of foot for hit the line for second at Bendigo late last month.

I’m confident he’ll enjoy big improvement for that experience and he can go one better this week.

Race 2 – 1:35pm – Ladbrokes Switch Handicap (1400m)

Blazerro is another runner who only just missed at his first-up effort from a spell, and he too looks well placed to win this week.

The Pierro gelding returned some nice efforts during his debut prep and went to the paddock after breaking his maiden at Cranbourne.

He kept his best work for late when second at Pakenham a couple of weeks ago and will only improve for that effort.

Race 3 – 2:10pm – Tile Importer Handicap (1300m)

Secret Glamour can make a winning return to the races at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Sebring filly stamped herself as one to watch with an easy victory on debut at Cranbourne, and she was unlucky not to keep alive her unbeaten career start when an agonizingly close second behind Celestial Fury at Flemington.

This looks an ideal campaign launchpad and if she gets appropriate luck, I really cannot find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.

Race 4 – 2:45pm – Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap (2100m)

This is one of the more open races on the program and a horse like Be Alert has claims on winning, at a lovely price ($8.50 at publish).

The Cindy Alderson-trained gelding finished third, beaten just over a length at Moe when resuming this time, and broke his maiden in style at Traralgon second-up.

This is obviously a noticeably harder task, but it’s tough to knock his dominance last time, and he harbours plenty of upside.

Race 5 – 3:20pm – Ladbrokes Money Back Odds Handicap (2100m)

I’m going to give Ruru another chance third-up at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

Ruru ended her last prep with a credible midfield performance in Group 1 company in Brisbane, and launched her current campaign in the Sunshine State as well, finishing less than a length behind the winner at Doomben.

She takes her place in this field following another quality performance for fourth in BM70 company at Flemington, and getting out to 2100m should be absolutely ideal for her.

Race 6 – 3:55pm – Ladbrokes Blended Bets Handicap (1300m)

This is one of the trickier races on the card in my opinion and there are a host of winning chances.

That being said, I thought that Out Of Isolation’s resuming performance and win in weaker company could be franked.

Out Of Isolation has made only two appearances at the races so far, but each effort has been full of merit, and he looks to have a very bright future.

Jamie Mott has options from the rails draw and I’m happy to stick with the horse.

Race 7 – 4:30pm – Ladbrokes Card Handicap (1400m)

She was a little disappointing at Mornington last time out, but she did ultimately hit the line with conviction, and Toyz On Fire is capable of bouncing back at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The Fighting Sun mare proved too strong for a BM58 field at Ballarat when resuming, and she chased home a few good ones at Bendigo second-up.

She strikes this race in peak order and certainly has the ability to win.

Race 8 – 5:05pm – IVE Print Handicap (1600m)

Brasada typically races well on a wet track and can record another win at Ladbrokes Park on Wednesday.

The All American gelding has been up and racing for a while, but there is no doubt that he has continued to improve throughout his preparation, and he was rewarded with a lovely win at Pakenham last time.

A repeat of that effort would see him into the finish again.
