Racing Victoria has announced it is seeking leave to appeal the decision of the Victorian Civil And Administrative Tribunal which upheld an appeal by trainers Danny O’Brien and Mark Kavanagh in the long-running cobalt case.
Last month O’Brien and Kavanagh had four and three-year bans, respectively, quashed by VCAT.
Racing Victoria said on Thursday it has submitted an application seeking leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Victoria against the VCAT decision.
