Runners odds crunched into favouritism to win Thousand Guineas 2014

The Robert Smerdon-trained Lumosty has replaced Go Indy Go as favourite for Saturday’s Group 1 Schweppes Thousand Guineas at Caulfield.

The Fastnet Rock filly has been crunched from $5 into $4.40 at Sportingbet.com.au since Tuesday’s barrier draw.

“We’re holding three times the cash for Lumosty compared to Go Indy Go,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.

“It’s such an open race and hard to know who will start favourite on the day but the early money is pointing towards Lumosty being the number one pick.”

Go Indy Go has eased from $4.40 to $4.60 at Sportingbet, while Bring Me The Maid has drifted from $5 to $6. Afleet Esprit is solid at $5.50.
