She Will Reign has won the $3.5 million Golden Slipper at Rosehill, fighting off Frolic in a slow race in heavy conditions.

Slipper favourite Houtzen led for much of the 1200m race, but faded in the final few hundred metres at She Will Reign took control to outlast Frolic while Menari was third.

“Jesus, what just happened? … Unbelievable, I’ve won the Golden Slipper,” stunned trainer Gary Portelli said.
