Trapeze Artist, the outsider of two runners for trainer Gerald Ryan, has caused an upset in winning the Group One Golden Rose.
Sent out a $41 chance after having some specking, Trapeze Artist overcame the widest draw to claim the $1 million Golden Rose at Rosehill.
Champagne Cuddles ($17) came from last to finish second with Trapeze Artist’s stablemate and $2.40 favourite Menari taking the minor placing.
