She’s had the benefit of a lovely trial in the lead-up to her return and this looks a lovely campaign launchpad for her.

Kutayha recorded a lovely win here last time, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again on Wednesday.

The Chris Waller-trained gelding has continued to improve with each start back this time, and he was rewarded for his improving condition with a lovely win last time.

He should only improve getting out to 1800m and James McDonald retains the ride.

Yiyi has recorded two wins from as many starts this time and looks beautifully placed to pull of the hat-trick at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday.

The No Nay Never gelding mixed his form last time in, but he clearly flourished in his time away from the track, and he has been eye-catching at both Newcastle at Rosehill this campaign.

Fitter third-up and dropping back to the midweeks, he can win again.

Race 6 – 3:45pm – Benchmark 72 Handicap (1550m)

This looms as the perfect race for Arctic Thunder.

Arctic Thunder doesn’t win out of turn, but he has continued to return quality efforts throughout his long preparation, and he takes his place in this field off the back of an eye-catching run for second at Rosehill Gardens.

He’s rock-hard fit and drawn to receive every chance under Tommy Berry.

Race 7 – 4:20pm – Vinery Stud Handicap (1100m)

I’m going to give Wander another chance third-up and dropping back in class on the Kenso course on Wednesday.

The Richard Litt-trained gelding ran home well to fill the minors at Rosehill when resuming, but failed to quicken when the pressure went on at Randwick last time.

Fitter third-up, I think he has real claims in something like this.
