The current condition of the track is heavy but the forecast is for some sunshine so there may be an upgrade to a slow at best.

Back Me: Southerly is having his fourth run this preparation and looks suited to run out the 1400m. Running on strongly last start, will handle the heavy track and should win this comfortably.
Don’t Back Me: Tiger Jet is having his first start in heavy conditions and is a query at handling the track. Drawn inside he won’t have much running room on the turn. He was the odds on favourite last time out and didn’t perform well enough to win. Won’t be breaking his maiden status on Saturday
Big Danger: Spurswoode is second up today after having a tough run last start. Being wide the entire trip and chased the entire straight. Will benefit from the first up run and should perform in the heavy conditions.
Roughie: Hitman Harry missed the jump last time out and ran wide. Drawn in today should see him get a better run and could get up at odds.

Back Me: Carmine King has four wins over 1200m and should be adding another win to this tally on Saturday. He will go forward from barrier 7 and be in the first few runners proving too hard to chase down late.
Don’t Back Me: Avaladyluck is third up on Saturday and is unplaced when racing third up from two attempts. Although she has been running on in her last two starts, based on the third up statistic she won’t be winning on Saturday
Big Danger: Style is first up on Saturday and has won doing so. Recently winning a trial in slow conditions suggests she will handle the heavy track conditions. She will be on the speed and will give our on top tip carmine King a good battle.
Roughie: Confident Star is coming out of a much stronger race in the Listed Lightning Handicap. He should be leading and this might be a surprise result

Back Me: Tripe Oh was buried on the rails at Randwick last start and weaved a passage to finish within 1L of the winner.
Drawn better today and having won on a heavy track, he is our on top tip and should be winning this.
Don’t Back Me: Viking heart is untried over this distance and it will most likely not suit. Hit 3 wins have come over 1350m and has never won in the track conditions. Won’t be winning on Saturday
Big Danger: Planetarium went around in the Ipswich Cup last time out and was too outclassed. Dropping back in class on Saturday and back in distance are factors that work in his favour to win this.

Back Me: Tax Evader goes into the race with by far the best form lines and looks to have too much class against this field.
Don’t Back Me: Tamanu Park has had six starts over the distance without placing. At his only start at Eagle Farm he was unplaced and looking at those stats i can’t have him on Saturday.
Big Danger: Double Impact will go into the race with 57kg including the claim and the form lines he is coming through look very strong. Should get a perfect run from barrier 2 and looks hard to beat.
Roughie: Playitstraight went close last start and should do so again. Thought he was at massive odds of $14 in the market and should be at half that quote.

Race Six: Bmag Queensland Cup 3200m Form Guide
Back Me: Ibicenco is coming out of the Group 3 Tattersells Cup where he started to do his best work late after settling midfield. Stepping up to 2400m on Saturday will see him stretch his legs out. Although carrying 59kgs he should be too classy for this field.
Don’t Back Me: Turner Bayou has been backed into second favourite coming off a tough loss at Sandown carrying 60kgs. Although he drops 6kgs today he has been racing in much weaker company and won’t make an impression.
Big Danger: Verdant is drawn wide for this but this suits as he normally goes back in the field. Last start he missed the jump and worked home wide.
With a nice get away on Saturday and a good run approaching the turn, expect him to be in the finish.
Roughie: Buffet is a front runner who can get away with a cheeky run out front on Saturday. If the back markers wait too long to make their move he could pinch this.

Race Seven: Pmp Limited Ascot Hcp 1200m Form Guide
Back Me: Metallurgical has been a tad disappointing of late although he gets his chance on Saturday in the distance and track he runs his best at. Should get the run of the race from barrier 3 and go close at big odds.
Don’t Back Me: Benny’s Buttons has had nine starts at the track for just the one win which is a concern. He meets a very good field on Saturday and i doubt he can change that strike rate.
Big Danger: Listen Son is a notable front runner and in a race where there doesn’t look to be much speed he should get some easy sectionals in front and be hard to run past.
Roughie: Griffon at his best would win this well although he has been racing out of form of late. Gets back in his races and if there is any speed in the race he will be finishing strongly late.

Back Me: Luke’s Luck is the on top tip coming off a 7 day backup. Dropping back to the 1400m on Saturday should suit him better than the mile last time out. Will handle the conditions and should have a nice run in the front of the field.
Don’t Back Me: Seen is a former Victorian horse only having one run in it’s career. It won on the wet and is in the market due to this, however will be too outclassed on Saturday.
Big Danger: Little Long Horn drops down in weight here and has been handling the heavy conditions. He has not been getting much luck being wide in running.
