Victorian mare Platelet has made it back-to-back Group One wins by taking out the $500,000 Goodwood at Morphettville.
Fresh from her elite level breakthrough against her own kind in the Robert Sangster Stakes two weeks ago, Platelet stormed home to beat all comers in Adelaide’s biggest sprint race.
Trained by Darren Weir, Platelet gave her jockey Ben Melham his third Group One win in as many weeks in Adelaide.
Platelet raced three-wide with cover for most of the race and overpowered her rivals in the final 150m to win clearly.
Conservatorium finished second and Altar ran third.
