Punters have plonked on local hero Buffering for Saturday’s BTC Cup at Doomben.
Affectionately known as “The Buff” the gelding is $3.20 equal favourite with Sidestep. However, online bookmaker Sportsbet.com.au is holding more money for the Queenslander than the rest of the field put together.
“It’s on-way traffic for Buffering, he’s the only horse punters want. So they should, he’s one of the most consistent sprinters in the country and is racing on his home track,’’Sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson said.
Meanwhile Sistine Demon ($5.50) heads the betting for The Goodwood in Adelaide. Equal second favourite Platelet ($7.00) has been well supported for the Morphettville Group 1, nibbles for Unpretentious ($10) and little interest in Miracles Of Life ($7.00).
