News:
Trainer Aidan O’Brien has made the decision to not head to Saturday’s G1 Cox Plate and take on Champion mare Winx with The Taj Mahal.
The Taj Mahal made his Australia debut in the Caulfield Stakes where he was a well beaten 10th which aided in O’Brien’s decision not to race in the Cox Plate this weekend.
The Taj Mahal was a $41 chance in Cox Plate odds.
Currently there are only 5 confirmed runners in the Cox Plate. Those being Winx, Gailo Chop, Folkswood, Royal Symphony and Happy Clapper.
