“I have some lovely horses trialling, Fiorente leading them,” Waterhouse said.

Brilliant sprinter Rain Affair is scheduled to trial for Joe Pride ahead of his resumption in the Expressway Stakes at Randwick on Saturday week.

Guy Walter is also looking at that race as a first-up assignment for multiple Group One winner Appearance whose spring was cut short after just two runs.

Her heat will be one of the more interesting with the likes of Newmarket Handicap-bound sprinter Aeronautical and unbeaten mare White Sage among the entries.

Other big name nominations for Randwick include Savvy Nature, Fontelina and Glencadam Gold.

There will also be an important jump-out session at Flemington which will include two of Chris Waller’s best weight-for-age performers.

The premier Sydney trainer confirmed Makybe Diva Stakes winner Foreteller and Queensland Derby victor Hawkspur would both have hitouts down the straight.

“Foreteller and Hawkspur will have jump-outs at Flemington on Friday,” Waller said.

“Most likely they will go first-up into the Orr Stakes, although there is a mile race on the same day.”

The Group One C F Orr Stakes is at Caulfield on February 8.
