Online bookmaker sportsbet expects Melbourne Cup winner Green Moon to be very competitive when he resumes racing in the Futurity Stakes on Saturday.
The six-year-old stallion has been kept safe at $6.00 behind crack three-year-old All Too Hard, who is $1.70 favourite for the Caulfield Group 1. King Mufhasa, who won the race last year, is $5.00 second favourite.
“All Too Hard was super impressive winning the Orr Stakes first-up and deserves his place at the top of betting. But you can’t discount Green Moon, he’s won first-up before and he could sprint well fresh,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
West Australian sprinter Barakey has been installed $3.20 favourite, to win his 12th consecutive race when he contests the Oakleigh Plate. Champion mare Ortensia is on the third line of betting at $7.00.
Sportsbet.com.au has active markets for the three Group 1’s including the Blue Diamond Stakes, where Guelph heads the betting at $3.10.
