Experienced jockey Kerrin McEvoy has been booked to ride the Loyd Williams owned Almadin who booked a spot in the Melbourne Cup field following his win in The Bart Cummings yesterday.
McEvoy won the Melbourne Cup aboard Brew in 2000 and early markets suggest he is a very live chance of winning another this year with Almandin sitting on the second line of betting at $15.
