Japanese stayers Bande and Admire Ratki remain firm in Melbourne Cup betting after the release of weights.
Admire Ratkie, who will carry top weight of 58kg, is $17 with sportsbet.com.au. The online bookmaker is paying each-way on the first four placegetters in the Cup.
His travelling partner, Bande, is $15 second favourite behind The Offer ($12) and both horses will carry 56.5kgs.
“It’s a big ask for Admire Ratkie, but he is a superstar back home. He has come through a similar program to 2006 winner, Japanese stayer Delta Blues,’’ sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne said.
