Trainer Matthew Leek is the latest trainer to have a horse return a cobalt positive.
Racing Victoria stewards told Leek of the confirmatory findings on Tuesday.
The Leek-trained Champagne Kisses returned a reading of 531 micrograms per litre in urine in a sample taken before she was unplaced in a maiden at Pakenham on March 3.
The reserve portion of the sample detected cobalt at a concentration of 600 micrograms per litre in urine and the threshold is 200 micrograms per litre in urine.
