Manly Sea Eagles odds shorten into 2014 NRL Premiership favourites

Coach Geoff Toovey won’t like it but his Manly side are no longer flying under the radar, with online bookmaker sportsbet moving the Sea Eagles into outright premiership favouritism for the first time this season.

Friday night’s win over the Roosters has seen Manly take sole ownership of top spot in grand final betting with the Sea Eagles priced at $4.00 to take the title ahead of defending premiers the Roosters at $4.50.

“They’ve beaten the Roosters twice now this season so definitely deserve to have have top billing as far as the premiership is concerned. They opened the season at $8.00 and have been the most consistent team in the competition,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Christian Jantzen.

The big movers have been North Queensland, who’ve come in from $41 to $23 on the back of their upset win over the Rabbitohs in Townsville.
