News:

Joe Pride will be loading I Am Zelady onto a float this week, but just where she goes is still uncertain.

Ideally, the Warwick Farm trainer will be sending her to the Gold Coast for a $1 million race on Saturday but he will cover all bases.

“I won’t know until Wednesday whether she will get a start in the Magic Millions fillies and mares race,” Pride said.

“I’m going to have to enter her for Gosford on Friday and Canterbury on Saturday but ideally I want to run her at the Gold Coast.”

“It’s frustrating but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”

A half-sister to Magic Millions Classic second favourite Zelady’s Night Out, I Am Zelady beat subsequent Listed winner Slots in a 1200m race in late November before she was run down late when third over 1350m at Rosehill on December 19.

The Gosford option on Friday is the $100,0000 Listed Takeover Target Stakes (1200m) while there is a benchmark 85 over 1100m at Canterbury a day later.

Pride is also waiting to find out if Open Book gets a run in the $1 million Magic Millions Cup (1400m).

The five-year-old claimed his second successive win at Rosehill on Saturday to put himself in the mix.

“I couldn’t get him going last preparation,” Pride said.

“He wasn’t committed to the cause but this time he has confidence and he’s not sweating up like he used to.

“If he gets into the Magic Millions race I won’t be able to talk the owners out of it.”

Pride is certain where Destiny’s Kiss will be this week with the veteran earning his way to the Listed Gosford Cup (2100m) on Friday with his last-start third.

The seven-year-old ran his best race for some time when he was in a three-way photo-finish at the end of 1600m at Randwick on Boxing Day.

The race was won by Medcaut from Monton with the margins a short half head by a half head.
