News:

One-time Magic Millions Classic favourite From Within is set to go up against new market leader Houtzen in the $2 million race MM Classic at the Gold Coast.

Capacity fields of 16 plus five emergencies have been confirmed for Saturday’s 2YO Classic (1200m) and the 3YO Guineas (1400m) with barrier draws for both races to be held on Tuesday.

Houtzen is the $3.20 favourite for the Classic after a dominant win at the Gold Coast on Saturday while From Within ($4.20) or stablemate Madame Moustache ($51) could give trainer Chris Waller a rare win in a two-year-old feature race.

Lindsay Park will be represented by $8 chance Madeenaty in the rich sales-restricted two-year-old race and fellow stakes winner Invincible Star ($6.50) is set to carry the hopes of trainers Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott.

Unbeaten Bjorn Baker-trained colt Winning Rupert is topweight in the $2 million Guineas and odds-on favourite on the back of three blistering wins during his preparation.
