The Team Snowden trained Pajaro really caught the eye in the main lead up, the Festival (1500m), when finishing a length away from Sweet Redemption. He is third up here and he did win the Scone Cup third up last time in, so it’s easy to see why he has firmed to $11 after opening $15.
Iron horse Fabrizio, who looked sharp in a trial win last week at Rosehill, is the $3.10 favourite and is pretty solid at that price after opening $3. Next best in betting is last Saturday Rosehill winner High Midnight at $8, who has been backed in from $8.
One roughie that has had admirers at a long price is the handy mare Berry Delicious. She opened $61, got to $67 but a sprinkle of money has seen her trim up to $41. The other is Sense Of Occasion, who is $26 in from $51.
