Today see’s the running of the Group 1 Caulfield Cup at Caulfield racecourse. This years Caulfield Cup is a wide open affair with what has been said to be one of the best quality fields we have seen in recent years. 12:24pm – Race 3 is less than twenty minutes away where Sydney galloper Kabayan will saddle up as favourite in the eight horse field. Jimando has also firmed in betting whilst Hvasstan and Honorious have both drifted.
12:13pm – A great ride by Glen Boss has gotten Al Aneed home in race two at Caulfield. Al Aneed drifted back in running before getting a rails run through the field to finish on the inside of of Crystal Web (2nd) and Limes (3rd.
12:08pm – Race 2 is almost at jump time with horses now behind the barriers. We should get to see how the track plays after this race. Hopefully fair for everyone heading into the Cup.
11:57am – Eleven minutes until Race 2 and there have been some noticeable moves in the market mainly Divine Moon who has been on the drift and is currently at $8 from $6 about ten minutes ago.
11:32am – The day starts with a favourite winning the first with A Time For Julia winning well as the even money favourite beating home Ciao and Real Stolle in third.
