Triple Group One winner Le Romain has had a solid win in a barrier trial at Newcastle ahead of his planned return in the Missile Stakes.
Le Romain jumped well and responded in the final stages of Tuesday’s 1000m-heat to win going away from his rivals.
Trainer Kris Lees plans to start Le Romain in the Group Two Missile Stakes (1200m) on August 5 and is also hoping the four-year-old can secure a spot in the $10 million Everest on October 14.
