Hong Kong-based jockey Zac Purton has had had his first ride on his Caulfield Cup mount, Japanese stayer Fame Game.

Purton won the 2014 Caulfield Cup on another Japanese horse, Admire Rakti, and made the trip to Australia to partner Fame Game in a gallop at Werribee on Monday.

He said Fame Game was likely to be more suited to the Melbourne Cup, although a strong pace in the Caulfield Cup would bring him into calculations.
