Sydney’s feature race meeting will be raced at Randwick racecourse on Saturday were we see an eight race card which is packed full of quality runners for this time of year with the main race being the Listed June Stakes.

The current track condition is a Dead 5 and despite there being some light showers around Sydney i doubt the track will change from this and we should be running on a Dead condition.

Race One: Mounties Group Plate 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Everage has been very impressive this preparation and despite probably being better on a wet track she is still a very good galloper on top of the ground. She is coming through better form lines than the rest and gets a weight allowing from her previous two runs. The $3.50 looks good value.
Don’t Back Me: Sweet Serendipity won well at Scone on debut although i don’t think that was a great form race and she had an easy lead which makes her winning margin look better than it should.
Big Danger: Bernabeu wasn’t fully tested on debut and still put in a good run on a heavy track. Should be better suited on top of the ground and looks a big danger.
Roughie: Ryker trialled very well before failing at his only career start although that was on a heavy track so id expect and improved showing here.

Race Two: Alea Actuarial (bm77) 2000m Form Guide

Back Me: Sweet Talkin Woman was slow out last start and made good ground late but her race was lost at the beginning. The extra distance should suit and she drops in weight. Should go back and be running on well late.
Don’t Back Me: Ireland’s Teardrop was thrown in the deep end last start and failed. Drops in distance which i dont like and i feel she would have been better spelling after that run.
Big Danger: Trick Shot is likely to go forward in the race and on paper there doesn’t look to be too much speed. If he can get a cheap run in front he should be too good for them.
Roughie: Madam Nash puts her best run in third up which she is here. Has to carry the big weight but finds a very winnable race on Saturday.

Race Three: St George Motor Boat Club-bm76 1400m Form Guide

Back Me: Single Style finds a much easier field on Saturday and despite the wide barrier and big weight i still think she will be too good. She will get back in her run and be finishing fast down the outside. She loves Randwick and the $12 looks fantastic value.
Don’t Back Me: Chewychop ran well in the Scone Guineas but im yet to be convinced that is superior form to the other runners heading into this race yet the odds reflect that it is.
Big Danger: Ashamar didn’t handle the heavy track last start and before that beat a good horse in Rastro who won during the week. Will go close and is at good odds.
Roughie: Slippery Moss went close in a midweek race a week and a half ago. Drops weight heading into this race and from a good barrier i think she can go close again at $19 in betting.

Race Four: Paul Lahood Funeral Serv.-bm80 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: Clickety Snip went back last start in a slowly run race yet still made up good ground late. Drops 2.5kg from that race and will be better suited here with what looks to be a decent tempo in the field. Will get back and looks a big chance at $19 which will shorten come race time.
Don’t Back Me: Falzzon has had four starts at Randwick for just the one placing which is a concern and the recent support in the market has seen his odds come into an unbackable price.
Big Danger: Eminent Domain has a good record over the course and distance and finds a very winnable race on Saturday. Will go back and be finishing hard in what looks to be a race with good speed in it.
Roughie: Eigelstein has had no luck his past two starts and fresh on Saturday should suit him. Finds a winnable race and is at massive odds in a very open race.

Race Five: Stayers Qlty Cup 3200m Form Guide

Back Me: Unchain My Heart won very well i thought over the 3200m distance last start at Flemington. Goes up slightly in weights but should improve from that run and he looks a very good stayer with a turn of foot.
Don’t Back Me: Permit has been disappointing this preparation and he has never fired at Randwick and i can’t see that changing this weekend.
Big Danger: The Offer is bred to stay and Gai is stepping him right up in distance on Saturday which should suit and he could be a very good stayer in the making.
Roughie: Tognetti flew home late in easier company but on that run should be able to match it with this field. The extra distance should suit and looks a horse you have to add to your multiples.

Race Six: June Stakes 1200m Form Guide

Back Me: No Looking Back had the big weight last start at Scone and from a wide barrier wasn’t given any chance of winning. Drops 5kg from that run and has drawn to get an easy run behind the leaders and will be very hard to beat.
Don’t Back Me: Neeson is a quality galloper although he has never won first up from six starts which is a big concern plus he will have to carry 60.5kg in the race.
Big Danger: Rarefied didn’t handle the heavy track last start so you can put a line through that run. The start before that he beat some very good horses and despite the big weight he looks the horse our on top selection has to beat.
Roughie: Zaratone was never left alone in front last start at Scone. Likely to lead this field and if he can get some good sectionals in front he has proven he is very hard to get past.

Race Seven: Sydney City Toyota (bm90) 1600m Form Guide

Back Me: World Wide is yet to run out of the top two third up which he is on Saturday. Drops 10kg from his mid week run which was decent and there looks to be okay speed in this race which will set it up for him.
Don’t Back Me: Destiny’s Kiss has been okay his last few runs without impressing me. Goes up in weight and from barrier 17 i think this will be hard for him to win.
Big Danger: Double Halo finished off the race well despite having a tough run last start. He is very good over the distance and im expecting to go close.
Roughie: Yulalona is a very good galloper and despite not performing well last start should run better on Saturday at good odds.

Back Me: Pipette goes into the race with the best form and she is very well weighted. Drawn barrier 8 which will give her every chance and she looks one of the better bets on the card although i dont expect the $3.70 on offer to last.
Don’t Back Me: Under The Sun is never far away but rarely wins. He has been up for a long time this preparation and from barrier 16 i cant see him winning here.
Big Danger: Agister is another coming through a very good form race. He has drawn wide which is a little concern but im expecting him to be in the finish at double figure odds.
Roughie: Samui Lad races well fresh and has a very good record over the distance. Drawn barrier 5 which will give him every chance.

Best Bet: Pipette comes into the race through a very good form line and she is well weighted and meets a field that is very beatable. She should get every chance from the barrier and looks a good bet to end the day.

Next Best: Single Style will have to carry a big weight but she drops massively in class here and she should be able to get the job done for us at double figure odds. Get the $12 here before they tumble in.

Best Roughie: Clickety Snip looks a massive chance on Saturday and the odds available for him look great value. Looks one of the best each way bets around the country.
