Caulfield Cup winner Jameka will need to set a weight carrying record for a four-year-old mare if she is to win the Melbourne Cup.
The Ciaron Maher-trained Jameka has been penalised 1.5kg for her win on Saturday, taking her Melbourne Cup weight to 53.5kg.
Jameka will attempt to emulate Ethereal, another four-year-old mare, who was the last horse to complete the Caulfield-Melbourne Cups double in 2001.
