I Am Me heading to Perth for The Quokka 2025

The owners of the exceptional mare, I Am Me, were thrilled to announce that their star horse has been chosen by Sportsbet to represent their slot in the $5M Kia Quokka, scheduled for Ascot Racecourse on Saturday, April 26, 2025.

The agreement was skillfully negotiated by Adam Watt from Dynamic Syndications, in collaboration with the team at Sportsbet. Nathan Arundell, Sportsbet’s Chief Commercial Officer, shared his enthusiasm about the partnership with Dynamic Syndications and renowned trainer Ciaron Maher, stating, “Sportsbet values and supports innovation and entertainment in all sports and racing. After finishing fourth in the first two years, we’re hoping to break through this year.”

To celebrate this partnership and emphasize the importance of the Quokka race, I Am Me will wear specially designed Racing Silks featuring an adorable quokka caricature. This gesture highlights the race’s increasing popularity among racing fans across Australia.

With an impressive record of 11 wins and 6 placings from 27 starts, I Am Me has earned $4,701,100 in prize money. Five of her victories have come in Stakes Races, showcasing her remarkable talent.

I Am Me’s next challenge is the G1 T.J. Smith 1200m on April 5, with Tim Clark as her jockey, serving as a lead-up to the Kia Quokka. Among her notable achievements are wins in the G2 Missile Stakes at Rosehill and the G3 $2M Sydney Stakes at Randwick. She also holds the track record at Canterbury over 1200m, having won the Listed Canterbury Sprint.

Additionally, I Am Me has triumphed in the G3 The Concorde over 1000m and the G2 The Shorts over 1100m, both at Randwick. She is a five-time G1 performer, with runner-up finishes in the Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley and the Rupert Clarke at Caulfield, as well as third-place finishes in the William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley. She also placed fourth in the G1 Sangster and Goodwood, both at Morphettville.

After an unlucky third-place finish in the G2 Challenge Stakes over 1000m, I Am Me has recovered well and is preparing for the Kia Quokka, arriving fourth-up in her preparation.

Last spring, I Am Me won The Concorde and The Shorts, the first two legs of the Sportsbet Sydney Sprint Series, ultimately finishing third and earning a $250,000 bonus. Her success has allowed her Dynamic co-ownership team to “live the dream” of racehorse ownership.

Thanks to Sportsbet’s confidence in I Am Me, she will travel across the Nullarbor, aiming to further enhance her outstanding reputation.
