In-form Godolphin stayer Hartnell will bypass the Caulfield Cup to have his next start in the WS Cox Plate.
The decision sets up a highly anticipated clash with last year’s Cox Plate winner Winx.
Godolphin will rely on the Charlie Appleby-trained Scottish in the 2016 Caulfield Cup.
