Smart money has already come for debut winner Charlie Boy to win the Golden Slipper with online bookmaker sportsbet.

Sportsbet.com.au reports the Gerald Ryan trained two-year-old has been very well supported to win the Rosehill Group 1.

Charlie Boy, an impressive winner in his only race start, has firmed from $21 into $12. Victorian filly Villa Verde remains steady at $3.80 favourite.

“We were the first to go up with Slipper markets and we were quickly claimed with some decent bets for Charlie Boy. Smaller wagers have continued to come for him and he’s easily the best backed runner in the race,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.

Unraced Mr Jackman, trained by Gai Waterhouse, has also been well supported, firming from $21 into $17. All The Talk, third to Charlie Boy and then a Warwick Farm winner, is also popular with punters at $21.
