Faustus trained by John O’Shea has been specked at long odds for Saturday’s feature race the 2012 Golden Slipper. After opening at $101 he has been backed into $71. Faustus two starts ago ran a very good race in the Black Opal Stakes beaten by Epaulette. He has drawn barrier 13 which suggests he will be posted wide during the race.

Golden Slipper Tips: Faustus is currently at $71 although did touch $101 at one stage in which punters specked the son of More Than Ready, there has been small amounts of money to say he can win the race but i doubt he will shorten further that $71. He has drawn barrier 13 which will make him sit wide during the race, he is likely to go forward so may be able to get two wide but the speed map suggests he will be posted three wide. He goes into the race at $71 in Golden Slipper Betting and he looks like he will be well outclassed in the Golden Slipper 2012.
