Luckless three-year-old Sidestep has been the big mover in Golden Rose markets with online bookmaker sportsbet.
Punters have forgiven Sidestep’s last start failure and the colt has been well supported, firming from $13 into $10 for the Rosehill Group 1. Victorian three-year-old Prince Harada has drifted from $4.40 to $5.00 but continues to top the market, just ahead of Fast ‘N’ Rocking, the second pick on $5.50.
Cluster remains steady at $8.00, while last start winner Aussies Love Sport has been wall backed and has firmed from $26 into $17
“It really was a forget run for Sidestep last start. He copped severe interference, which basically knocked him out of the race. There has been good money to say he can turn it around and there has also been solid support for Prince Harada and Fast ‘N’ Rocking in a very open betting race,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
Sportsbet.com.au will refund punters their bet on the Golden Rose if their selection runs second in the race. Atlantic Jewel ($1.07) is prohibitive odds in the Stocks Stakes at Moonee Valley, but punters can bet on her winning margin or with her out of the field. Currenlty, a 2.0 to 3.9 length win is the $2.60 favourite.
