Glyn Schofield to miss Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes ride

Glyn Schofield will be able to ride Avilius in the Group One Metropolitan after an impassioned plea for leniency on a careless riding charge.

Schofield was outed for a shift on Avilius whose win in Saturday’s Kingston Town Stakes earned him $2.80 favouritism for the Metropolitan on September 29.

He will miss the ride on Home Of The Brave in the Group One Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield next Saturday.

Schofield received five meetings and can return on September 28.
