Lankan Rupee has joined Terravista at the top of betting for Friday night’s Group 1 Sportingbet Manikato Stakes 2014 at Moonee Valley after some strong early support.

Punters have backed the Mick Price-trained five-year-old from $4 into $3.90 at Sportingbet.com.au since Tuesday’s barrier draw, while Terravista has eased from $3.30 to $3.90.
“Lankan Rupee has attracted ten times more money than Terravista in early betting,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.
“A $6,500 bet is among a string of significant wagers we’ve taken for Lankan Rupee, while Terravista has been friendless.”
Buffering has also shortened from $6 into $5.50 at Sportingbet but the biggest mover has been Angelic Light, who has been crunched from $17 into $11 fifth favouritism.
“One punter had $2,000 at $17 on Angelic Light straight after the barrier draw and there’s been plenty of other nibbles.”
