1. MEMBERS JOY
She won the Listed Cap D’antibes (1100m) at Flemington in good style two starts back before jumping to the 1400m of the 1000 Guineas Prelude at her most recent start. Held her position in the run home on that occasion (5th, beaten 3.4) and better for the experience but drawn very wide here.

2. REAL STOLLE
A Patinack Farm representative that has one win, that being at her second start, to her name from eight career starts. She has had three starts this time in, getting well back on each occasion and making little impact on the leaders in the run home.

3. AFFABLE
Second of Patinack Farm runners who won the Listed Carmicheal Stakes over this track and trip last prep. Returned to racing with a seventh (beaten 5.7) in the Cap D’antibes and get a long way back in race dominated by those on pace in the 1000 Guineas Prelude.

4. MAYBE DISCREET
Adelaide runner who brings a record of two wins from five starts, with her most recent win being her last start – a convincing win in the Listed Morphetville Guineas (1600m). No surprise to see her here given her last start but has drawn the ‘visitors’ barrier.

5. COMMANDING JEWEL
Won her first two starts in good style before stepping at as 9/4 favourite at her most recent start, the 1000 Guineas Prelude where she led all bar the last few metres. Can’t fault any of her efforts thus far and from her draw, expect her to settle just of the pace. Early favourite at $3.50.

6. PROPER MADAM
She has followed a similar path to most of her competitors with a fourth (beaten 3.1) in the Cat D’antibes before a tenth (beaten 5) in the 1000 Guineas Prelude where she got a long way back in a race dominated by on-pacers. Over this trip and from her handy draw, she might not get as far back as she has previously and has already been met with good early supporting, firming from $13 into $10

7. WALK WITH ATTITUDE
Well bred filly by Hussonet out of handy Listed winning mare Hillfa, who hasn’t missed a place from her four starts to date. Chased home Bloomingdale Miss two starts back and then went to Adelaide and ran second to Maybe Discreet (beaten 2.3)

8. CAMEO
A runner from the Darley yard who has recorded two wins at her two most recent outings, a Wyong Maiden and Class 1 at Newcastle, sitting on the speed in both races. Drawn to do the same here again but stepping up significantly in class.

9. LONHRUGE
Her form has been very much up and down over her four career starts to date with her most recent effort a twelfth in the 1000 Guineas Prelude (beaten 8 lengths). Hard to see her winning here on that effort.

10. KATIE
New Zealand filly who has won two of her three runs this preparation, both on Slow tracks and over 1200m. Steadily made ground at her most recent start in the G3 Hastings Gold Trail Stakes (1200m) and despite not having been tried beyond this trip, has been kept very safe in the markets at $8.50.

11. ALZORA
David Hayes runner that has managed two thirds from his eight career starts. Made good ground late at her most recent start in a Bendigo Maiden over 1400m when finishing fourth and whilst the mile will suit, she is eligible for much easier races.

12. SHOWMYA MISS
Ran sixth in the 1000 Guineas Prelude at her most recent start where, after getting back early, made some ground in the run home. That followed a good fourth behind Commanding Jewel the start prior. Think a genuine mile should suit and she’ll get that with the big field.

13. SPITFIRE LADY
Won well two starts back in a Seymore Maiden before jumping straight into the deep end and the 1000 Guineas and acquitted herself fairly, running eighth (beaten 4.4). That was only her second run in this prep and her third overall and is open to further improvement but maybe not enough to be winning from her wide draw here.

A Zabeel filly who has only had two starts, winning her most recent – a Bendigo Maiden. Breeding and racing pattern thus far suggests she’ll appreciate the longer trip but from the widest gate in the class should be well accounted for.

Well accounted for in her first two starts, both Echuca Maidens before a much better effort, stepping up to the mile when second in a Bendigo Maiden. Looks like the further they go, the more she’ll like it but not here.

Filly by Reset who has only had the one start, a fifth (beaten 3.5) in a Bendigo Maiden – hard to seeing here winning here.

OVERVIEW
Pace should be solid here given the size of the big field and a couple who should push forward from their wide draw. Like the chances (and price) of Proper Madam ($10.00) here who has been good at her latest two starts and should appreciate this trip and a true pace. Would’ve gone with Maybe Discreet had she drawn a little better. She’ll need some luck in the running starting from gate 16. Throw in Commanding Miss, Spitfire Lady and Showmya Miss for the multiples in a very open affair.
