Margot McKinney Well Groomed Class 3 Plate (1600m) – 11:58am

Tenzing steps out third-up on Saturday and rates as a key winning chance in this contest.

The Tony Gollan-trained gelding finished down the order in BM68 company in his first run back from a break, but he turned in an improved performance to fill the minors at Doomben last time.

Fitter third-up and out to a mile on the big Eagle Farm track, these look his ideal conditions!

Suggested Bet: No. 7 Tenzing

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 1

Spring Carnival On Sale Now BM78 Handicap (2412m) – 12:33pm

Chernak is chasing a hat-trick when he steps out at Eagles Farm on Saturday and looks well placed to pull it off.

The Chris Waller-trained galloper has been a consistent performer throughout his campaign, but his last two starts have well and truly suggested that he has found top gear.

He need only hold his form to be right in the finish again this week.

Suggested Bet: No. 2 Chernak

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 2

Sky Racing Fillies & Mares BM70 Handicap (1400m) – 1:08pm

Interesting race with a case to be made for a few of them, and with that in mind, I’m going to have an each way play on Sea Ripple.

It’s fair to say that Sea Ripper hasn’t shown her best form in two starts back from a spell, but her form last time was excellent, and including consecutive wins in metro company most notably.

Fitter third-up, I like that she is being kept at the 1400m, and we can just have something small on each way at current odds ($15 at publish).

Suggested Bet: No. 8 Sea Ripple

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 3

Luke Reynolds Hairdressing C, G&E BM70 Handicap (1400m) – 1:43pm

Naval Trader takes winning form into this contest and looms as the one to beat again.

The Steve O’Dea & Matt Hoysted-trained gelding hasn’t missed placing in his five career starts to date, and he has improved for two runs back from a break, culminating in the best win of his career last time out.

Fitter third-up, this looks the perfect opportunity to return to Saturday metro company.

Suggested Bet: No. 8 Naval Trader

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 4

Eureka Stud BM85 Handicap (1810m) – 2:23pm

This shapes as one of the better contests on the program and there is a case to be made for a few of them, including Wairere Falls.

Wairere Falls has been a good horse for the Waller yard for a few seasons now, and he’s found a really good place in Saturday metro company up in Brisbane.

It has been a while since he last won a race, but he hasn’t missed placing at any of his last four starts and takes his place this week in peak order.

At around the $7 mark (at publish), he looks to be one of the better genuine each way chances going around on Saturday.

Suggested Bet: No. 2 Wairere Falls

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 5

LGT Crestone Cup No Metro Wins Handicap (1200m) – 2:58pm

Pocket Full has opened a warm favourite in betting ahead of this contest, and I am happy to have something on.

The Rich Enuff gelding has raced consistently since debuting for the Kendrick yard back in April last year, recording three wins and seven minors from his thirteen appearances.

Having only been denied by a smart Bubba’s Bay at Doomben last time out, I’m expecting the return to Eagle Farm this week to make a difference, and he might not be offered a better opportunity to strike in Saturday metro company.

Suggested Bet: No. 6 Pocket Full

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 6

Ridgmont Farm QTIS 3YO BM70 Handicap (1000m) – 3:33pm

Critique is an interesting acceptor into this race, and I like the unique formline.

Critique hasn’t been seen at the races since April, but he was decent during his debut prep, winning in dominant fashion at Ballarat before having a crack at The Showdown, albeit a failed tilt.

He’s had a handful of nice trials in the lead-up to his campaign, and Brisbane looks a lovely launchpad!

Suggested Bet: No. 7 Critique

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 7

Peachester Lodge Class 6 Handicap (1000m) – 4:12pm

Hard To Say has recorded two wins from as many starts back this time, and he strikes another very winnable race in Brisbane on Saturday.

The Exceed An Excel gelding charged home to get up by half a length at Rosehill in his first start back; franking that performance with an easy win at Doomben last time.

Fitter third-up, the 1000m is ideal and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Suggested Bet: No. 3 Hard To Say

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 8

Ladbroke It! QTIS BM85 Handicap (1500m) – 4:48pm

Star Of Chaos is another galloper chasing a hat-trick at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The Zoustar mare didn’t show a lot over 1110m at Doomben in her first start for the Gollan yard in July, but she has since been faultless, recording a couple of eye-catching wins here in Brisbane.

She’s hard fit and gets into this race well under the conditions – she just needs a little luck in running from the wide alley.

Suggested Bet: No. 9 Star Of Chaos

Bet Now: Eagle Farm Race 9
