Doomben 10,000 winner Boban is the topweight for the $2 million Stradbroke Handicap with 58 kilograms.

The Chris Waller-trained five-year-old claimed his first win in more than a year in Saturday’s Group One 10,000 over 1350 metres.

With Eagle Farm out of action because of renovations, this year’s Stradbroke will be run at Doomben over the 10,000 distance.

Stradbroke favourite Najoom has yet to be entered for the race with late entries closing on Wednesday.

The Gai Waterhouse-trained filly is exempt from a ballot in Brisbane’s premier sprint courtesy of her win in Saturday’s Fred Best Stakes.

However, she came out of the race with a minor leg injury and has the Group One option of the Tattersall’s Tiara two weeks after the Stradbroke.

Second favourite Lumosty is not yet guaranteed a Stradbroke start. The Melbourne filly is 31st in the order of entry for the 16-horse field but there have already been some notable withdrawals.

Charlie Boy, second to Boban at Doomben, has 54kg while third placed Generalife has 54.5kg.
