News:

Three horses have been added to the Group Three Summer Cup including Sebrina, the closest of seconds at her most recent start.

If she runs at Randwick on Saturday, the Bjorn Baker-trained mare will be backing up seven days after she and Kontiki Dane fought out the finish of a 1900m-race at Rosehill.

After a long delay, the judge found a nose margin in favour of the Gai Waterhouse-trained Kontiki Dane.

The Tim Martin-trained Moral Victory and Felix Bay from the Jim and Greg Lee stable are the other two additions to the Summer Cup (2000m) which now has 13 nominations.

All three new entries are on the 54kg limit with with the weights headed by a trio of Chris Waller-trained runners – Junoob on 61kg, I’m Imposing 59kg and Telepathic 55kg.

Junoob has not raced since he won the Ballarat Cup last month while Telepathic will step back up in distance after her sixth in the Villiers Stakes (1600m) which followed her win in the Listed ATC Cup over Saturday’s 2000 metres.

I’m Imposing will farewell the Waller stable after he attempts to win his third successive Summer Cup.

“He will be having his last start on Saturday,” Waller said.

“He has been a great horse for his owners so I’m hoping he can go out on a good note.”

An Irish import, I’m Imposing has won more than $600,000 in Australia.

The Waller-trained Strawberry Boy is the 59kg topweight for the Listed Canterbury Classic (1200m).

Strawberry Boy hasn’t raced since he finished a disappointing last in the Crystal Mile at Moonee Valley on October 24 but has since shown his fitness with a barrier trial win two weeks ago.

The Gary Portelli-trained Sebring Sun is the lone three-year-old in the Canterbury Classic which will be his lead-up race to next month’s $2 million Magic Millions Guineas at the Gold Coast.
