A host of runners have been backed to win Saturday’s Villiers Stakes at Randwick including Said Com, Destiny’s Kiss and the widely travelled Sysmo.
Taxmeifyoucan heads the market on $5.50 but is one of the least popular runners with punters at online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.
As a result of punter support, Sysmo has firmed from $7.00 into the $6.50 second favourite, Said Com moves from $13 into $11 and Destiny’s Kiss is into $14 from $17.
“This preparation Sysmo has raced in Adelaide and Melbourne and he seems to put in wherever he steps out. Punters love a toiler so it’s not surprising they’re getting behind the Tony McEvoy trained gelding,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said.
“But as the market indicates, it’s a tight betting race so they’ve come for plenty of them.”
Sportsbet.com.au will refund punters their bet on the Villiers Stakes if their selection runs second in the race.
In other betting moves, the Chris Waller trained Heart Testa ($2.75) holds favouritism for the Razor Sharp Handicap. However, handy five-year-old Club Command has tumbled from $6.00 into $4.50 for his first-up run.
